At TED2013, Elon Musk is talking space travel and Sergey Brin says Google Glass reduces rudeness.

TED2013 is going on right now in Long Beach. Innovators, entrepreneurs and wild-eyed geniuses are onstage, talking for just long enough about things that could change the world. Don't you wish you could be there?

And so to SpaceX, a project Musk jokes might well prove to be the fastest way he can lose his fortune. Despite setbacks, they persist, and when he says the goal of the company is to advance rocket technology and convert humanity into a spacefaring civilization, it’s hard to laugh him off.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin took the stage at TED Wednesday morning for an unscheduled, low-key talk on Google Glass. TEDActive2013 is in session too, in Palm Beach. In this more casual (and less expensive) environment the 2013 theme of "The Young. The Wise. The Undiscovered" is being explored in parallel. You can watch attendees answer the question, “What technology would you like to see in the future?”
